Quick Quiz: Colorectal Cancer

Page 1 of 7: Colorectal Cancer

The American Cancer Society’s estimates for the number of colorectal cancer (CRC) cases in the United States for 2017 are 95,520 new cases of colon cancer and 39,910 new cases of rectal cancer. CRC is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women in the United States and the second leading cause in men. The disease is expected to cause approximately 50,260 deaths during 2017. However, the mortality rate from CRC has been declining in both men and women over the past several decades. This can be attributed to, among other factors, advances in screening methods and improved agents and regimens to treat the disease.
